This Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so, they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.
They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other staff.

The duration to complete this competency based qualification is up to 24 months.
The New England College flexible training model takes into account the learner’s skills and knowledge acquired through previous training and experience. This may lead to a reduction in the time required to complete this course.
Fee For Service - $5,600
Higher Level Skills - Funded by the Queensland Government
Dependent on your concessional status, under the Higher Level Skills, you are required to contribute to the costs of your training through a co-contribution fee. New England College charges the following co-contribution fees for the courses we offer under the Higher Level Skills:
Concessional student co-contribution fee - $280 Non-concessional student co-contribution fee- $420
Once you have completed a Diploma level vocational qualification under the Higher Level Skills program you will no longer be eligible for any additional government subsidised training.
User Choice - funding is available through the Queensland Government User Choice Program
Eligible apprentices and trainees that meet the Queensland state funding requirements will be charged a student contribution fee of $1.60 per nominal hour. For more information on the number of units funded for this course visit Queensland Training Information Services.
Nominal hours for each unit will be outlined in the agreed training plan, which will be provided to the employer and apprentice or trainee, at the time of induction.
